Let’s get to know each other

Hi, I’m Brendan Logan

As someone who has struggled with eating disorders and body insecurities for most of my life, I’ve always felt passionate about working to better myself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Going through adolescence in a world where information was so readily available made it difficult to recognize the misinformation and potential harms that came with following advice from popular but unqualified individuals. I’ve been fortunate to have mentors to guide me through the difficult times, but I realized that not everyone had that, so I wanted to be that teacher for those who may feel lost or overwhelmed. Getting diagnosed with Celiac Disease at a young age forced me to realize the importance of proper nutrition and sparked my interest in the connection between food, the body, and movement for overall health.

After earning my degrees from UMass Amherst, I worked as the Director of Nutrition at a prominent gym in my hometown. After years of gaining experience coaching nutrition and exercise, I decided to branch out to help more people by meeting them where they are. I now have the opportunity to meet with people at work with their coworkers, at school with classmates, at practice with their team and coaches, online with their families and friends, or one-on-one. I have a deep desire to share the tools and techniques that helped me in my journey with others who may be struggling to find answers or who want to have a healthier relationship with food and exercise. No matter where you are on your path to a healthier life, I’d like to help by sharing the knowledge I’ve gained and support you every step of the way!

Nutrition

The food we eat serves as the foundation of a healthy life and it is always a main focus when working with my clients. Food can be both a source of comfort and stress so no matter where you are, my goal is to build a healthy relationship with food so you can get the most joy out of each meal. Everyone has different levels of knowledge about nutrition as well as different access to the foods that help us feel good. I take a realistic approach to my nutritional guidance to suit your needs and resources.

Working towards wellness together

Through my years of school and subsequent work in the field, it is clear that evidence backed approach to nutrition leads to the best long-term outcomes for clients. Every person I work with has had their own lived experience, so my goal is to meet you where you are and build healthy habits that align with your goals, schedule, and lifestyle. I work to ensure that all of my clients gain the knowledge they need to reach their goals and have access to quality resources for continued education.

Exercise

Movement is another vital part of healthy living, but ‘exercise’ means something different to everyone. My philosophy is that some is better than none and good is better than perfect. The benefits of exercise extend beyond just the physical and plays an important role in mental and emotional well-being. We will find ways to incorporate more physical activity into your routines. I use exercise as a supplement to the nutrition habits and encourage movement that is safe, accessible, and enjoyable.

Lifestyle

The information that we will discuss is valuable but applying that information to your everyday life is just as important. We will take the facts that you learn and use them to form the appropriate habits that will lead to your success. Setting realistic goals from the beginning is the key to long-lasting success. Habits form differently for everyone, so we will learn to recognize the cues that lead you to making certain decisions. Understanding how you personally function will help you reach consistency.

I look forWARD TO working with you
